Gummy Bear Hitmen
Section 01 · Welcome

A letter from
the captains

You made a team. Not the team yet — that part's on all of us, starting now — most players spend a career joining clubs other people built. You get to build one.

Here's what we're about, plainly: we want to be a problem to play against. Locked in, aggressive, hard to score on, harder to stop. We're chasing real goals this season and we're not shy about it — we came to win games that matter and to find out how good this group can get.

But the wins aren't actually the prize. The prize is what's left when the season ends: a group of people who got better because they pushed each other, who genuinely like showing up, and who'll still be playing — and still be friends — long after any single result is forgotten. We're building a team you'd want to be on even on the days you're not winning.

One standard ties it together, and it's the one we'll come back to all year:

Being a Hitman means getting 1% better — or 1% more comfortable in your game — every single day.

Not 50% better by August. 1% today. That's a bar anyone can clear and nobody can fake, and a season of it is how a first-year team turns into a team that lasts.

The rest of this packet is how we pull it off — what we expect, where we'll be, how we talk to each other, what it costs. Glad you're here. Let's get to work.

Section 02 · Who We Are

We compete to get better, and we get better together.

We exist to develop players and the people who play — to make every Hitman a better, more confident competitor than the day they arrived, on this team and wherever ultimate takes them next. We're building a committed community in central PA for people who want to chase big goals: the team's and their own. We win by being the team nobody wants to draw, and we last by being the team everybody wants to come back to.

B
Brotherhood
Chemistry lives on both sides of the white lines. The losses, the grind weeks, the long drives home either pull a team apart or pull it closer — we're in the business of the latter.
Looks likeYou don't wait to be asked. You notice, you reach out, you show up — on the field and off it.
E
Elevation
Every Hitman ends this season better than he started. Getting better means consistency — and consistency compounds across an entire team.
Looks likeYou put in the work nobody sees. Watch the film. Take the extra throwing session. That's what separates a team that peaks in July from one still climbing in September.
A
Aggression
The Hitmen compete with teeth. We play fast and physical, like every point matters. That edge comes from preparation and knowing your role — controlled aggression is the most dangerous kind. And when you do make a mistake, make it big and loud — a full-speed miss beats a tentative one every time.
Looks likeWhen you get scored on, your job isn't to feel it — it's to reset and come back harder. The teams that beat you are counting on you to shrink. Don't give them that.
R
Responsibility
This team runs on individual ownership. You own your development, your attitude, and your role. This is the value that makes the other three real.
Looks likeYou see something going wrong and you bring it up — directly, without ego — because you're invested in the outcome. That's responsibility pointing outward.

Expectations

No surprises, no excuses. This is the baseline we hold for everyone, every week.

01

At Practice

Show up, lock in, bring each other up.

Practice starts at 9:00 — and on time here means ready, not arriving. Whatever your routine looks like, own it so it lands before the whistle. If you're going to miss or be late, communicate it early; if something changes during the week, don't wait — captains need to know right away. From the first rep to the last, you're fully present: no moping, no checking out, no letting the conditions decide your effort. When you're on the sideline and the disc is live, you're engaged — talking, calling, helping your teammates compete. And when someone offers you feedback, take it from a place of trust. When you offer it, give it from the same place.

02

At Tournaments

Everything we build at practice comes down to these weekends.

Tournament week is its own standard. Starting Thursday night, be mindful of what you're putting your body through — we're not policing your schedule, but you know the difference between living your life and doing something that will cost you Saturday morning. If you cramp out and can't play, that's not bad luck — that's a choice that affects twenty other people. Show up hydrated, rested, and ready to compete at your best. Lines are set and communicated before we leave Friday — you'll have time to raise concerns before then, and we want to hear them. Once we're at the hotel, that conversation is closed and the team is locked in together. From that point forward, we're one unit focused on one thing.

03

Away from the Team

Elevation isn't just a value. It's what you do on the days we don't see you.

We kept the practice schedule lean on purpose — which means what happens between Saturdays is part of the deal. Each week we'll assign the homework directly: a physical workout, a throwing session, a frisbee IQ activity, and something to engage with on Discord. League doesn't count for the workout or the throwing session — those are separate, intentional efforts. We'll give you everything you need to execute all of it: the programs, the film, the resources. Combined, you're looking at roughly three to four hours a week. That's the floor. What we can't hand you is the discipline to actually do it. That part's yours.

Financials

We believe every Hitman should have the opportunity to play, regardless of financial situation. Playing for GBH this season will involve costs — we're committed to being as transparent and reasonable as possible about what we ask of you, and we'll do everything we can to keep them manageable.
